MUSBA's headquarters are in Washington, D.C., where its affairs are directed by its president Mr. Paul Ryberg.
Mr. Ryberg is also a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Ryberg and Smith, L.L.C., where his practice focuses on international trade law, including extensive experience in U.S.-Africa trade for more than 25 years. Mr. Ryberg's law practice also includes advising clients on WTO and NAFTA matters, textile and apparel trade, agricultural trade (including sugar in particular), Customs issues affecting a variety of products and import programs, and lobbying Congress on trade legislation.
In addition, Mr. Ryberg has served as the President of the African Coalition for Trade, Inc. (ACT), a non-profit association of private sector interests in a variety of African nations.
Mr. Ryberg has been a featured speaker or expert panelist at numerous conferences and seminars on international trade law, including in Botswana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Fiji, Ghana, Hong Kong, Korea, Madagascar, Mauritius, Senegal, South Africa and Taiwan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
MUSBA also maintains an office in Mauritius to serve as a liaison with its members in Mauritius. MUSBA's office in Mauritius is headed up by Mr. Maurice Vigier de Latour, the General Manager of Denim de l'Ile. He is also the former president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius and former president of the Mauritius Export Processing Zone Association. Mr. de Latour is also a member of the MUSBA Board of Directors. Mr. de Latour is widely recognized as an expert on apparel manufacturing and sales and on the Mauritian apparel industry in particular.
In developing and implementing its programs to achieve its trade and investment expansion goals, the directors and officers of MUSBA are supported by a Board of Advisors consisting of distinguished persons with substantial experience in U.S.-Mauritius trade and investment.
